Carson Booth is a seasoned global technology leader with over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He brings a unique global perspective on hospitality and technology trends as a result of his expansive career beginning in gaming operations in Las Vegas and living in five countries. As a passionate traveller, Carson has visited more than 60 countries over the last two decades.

In his immediate prior roles, as General Manager, Carson was responsible for the day to day operations of Starwood International Licensing Company S.à r.l., while concurrently serving as Global Vice President, Property Technology Group, for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.

Starwood's Global Property Technology group was responsible for establishing and executing the technology strategy for brand and guest innovation, merger and acquisition integration, IT operations and compliance across 1300+ hotels and offices in 100 countries, while overseeing 800 IT staff and US$350M in annual spend governance. Key innovation successes of the GPT group include mobile/keyless check-in, cloud adoptions of property management and point-of-sale technologies, and hotspot 2.0 programs.

Carson greatly enjoys cultivating high-performance in multi-cultural teams. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, currently serves on several boards, supports the hospitality start-up community as an advisor and mentor, is a past director of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals and Hotel Technology Next Generation, and the chairman of both the 2017 and 2018 HITEC Amsterdam Advisory Councils.

Originally from Texas and raised in the US-south, Carson relocated from Las Vegas to Europe for ITT Sheraton in the mid '90s . He has since enjoyed living in London, Brussels, Luxembourg and now lives in Berlin with his wife and young daughter. In his free time, he enjoys yoga, traveling, wine, golf and flying.
